1.0 Welcome

The Chairman welcomed members present and noted apologies.

2.0 Confirmation of Minutes

The minutes of the last meeting held on 20th November, 2002 was confirmed on a motion moved by Mr Mike Chapman.

3.0 Matters Arising

3.1 On item, 3.1.2 of the minutes dated 20 November, 2002, Chairman requested Mr Severensin to give an update on the Grant Scheme power point presentation at the Quality Excellence Award Night. The Grant Scheme Committee received an application from the Sigatoka Hospital applying for assistance under the Business Training Fund as a result of this presentation. Mr Severinsen added that information currently depicted on the FNZBC brochure need updating as this is a good promotional tool which needs to show current information.

4.0 Accounts

4.1 Financial statement for the period 31st - 30th November, 2002 was circulated to the members. It was suggested that the next set of accounts include a report on fixed term deposit. Also to be included are funds already committed but not yet issued to Grant Scheme recipients under the BTF and EEF.

4.2 Briefly the balances as of 30th October, 2002 are as follows:

Fiji/NZ BC - Business Training Fund A/C - $38,925.59
Fiji/NZ BC - Export Enhancement A/C - $38,465.48
Fiji/NZ BC - Group Training A/C - $19,827.66
Fiji/NZ BC - Fixed Term Deposit - $21,608.59
